What Matters - Transportation That Connects People to Opportunity

I believe transportation should connect people to work, school, health care, groceries, public services, and opportunity. In a county as large and diverse as Onondaga, reliable transportation is not a convenience. It is part of how people participate fully in daily life.

We need transportation planning that works for people in both urban and suburban communities, including those who do not drive or cannot afford regular access to a vehicle. That means supporting reliable public transit, safer roads, walkable communities, and better connections between where people live and where jobs and services are located.

As Onondaga County grows, transportation decisions need to be made with working families, seniors, students, people with disabilities, and small businesses in mind. Growth only works when people can actually reach the opportunities being created.
